Raw Nog - for the Holidays

1/2 dry mature coconut
1/2 cup coconut water (or whatever amount you get from dry coconut)
4 soaked dates (soak in 1 cup of spring water)
1 frozen banana
1/2 tsp turmeric (gives nog color and egg taste)
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp vanilla

* Crack coconut and make a cream with the coconut water blened with the dry coconut..strain and discard pulp (I love to season it later as a rice dish)
* Blend the rest of incredients including the water from the dates with the coconut cream.

Serve cold and garnish with cinnamon sticks and mint springs (or leaves)..

serves 2.
